War of 1812

The War of 1812 - Celebrating the 200th Anniversary in 2012

Anniversary of the War of 1812 as related to Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations

Real People's History, along with its many historical links, will be a primary source of information related to the War of 1812. Over the following weeks and months RPH will provide updates as they are researched, validated and posted for your benefit.

Brantford as a city did not exist then but Six Nations Territory did and was very vibrant. Six Nations Territory had to be traversed regularly as it was on a main route between Detroit, the Niagara Peninsula, and York (Toronto). This resulted in some very interesting activities.
